Inspired by the wonderful art by @unamusedyami on Instagram, go check them out! In this Au Shane is and always has been a demon named Madej, He wasn't the demon of anything just a grunt level demon. Madej decided to check out Earth from one of his captures and retrieve missions (capturing and retrieving a dead soul of a very bad person) and he learns of the beauty of this planet and stays. Eons go by and hell forgets he left and forgets him altogether so he lives in peace on earth. He earns a job in BuzzFeed and lands a role as a ghost hunter alongside an individual named Ryan Bergara. He plays the skeptic role well besides the "believer" Ryan. Ryan is not exactly normal either, he is possessed by a 1920's Mob boss named Ricky Goldsworth. This ghost has such a similar soul to him that he just merged souls one day and hasn't been rid of him since. Ricky helps Ryan out in paranormal investigations by telling him where to look or where NOT to go. Ryan himself cannot see the ghosts or what happens around him in that sense but Ricky can, since ghosts are so common to him he only alerts Ryan on investigations or if a really bad spirit that could hurt him pops up. When their paths cross, how long will it take them to discover that neither are without their own Paranormal Problems? We do NOT own any of the footage from the series Buzzfeed unsolved, all rights belong to them. This book is purely for entertainment only!

Shane Madej is a homicide detective trying to solve a case of a murdered family but has trouble finding a suspect in interest. Detective Ryan Bergara has been assigned to help Shane with the case despite being a rookie. Ryan manages to crack the case leaving his coworkers stunned and Shane fascinated by his new partner in crime. As they continue to work together decoding the most bizarre cases, Shane can't help but notice that he sees Ryan more than just his coworker.

They find out it's 1912 and are in Memphis, Tennesse. They realize that this is a murder story they covered once and decide to find out who really did it. Shane and Ryan try to become victims to find the answer. Ryan becomes scared when they find that the hotel they're staying in is haunted. Shane doesn't mind the hotel and convinces Ryan to stay. Unfortunately, when Ryan and Shane find out that they weren't put here to solve the murder, but to tell the other person their secret, they find out they can't go home until they do. So...do Ryan and Shane figure out the murder and eventually pour their heart out to the other person, or do their fears take over and let history repeat itself while stuck in the 1900s?
