Levina is a half elf storm magic sorcerer who spends her days in her bookshop in Candlekeep, until one day she is snatched by mindflayers and taken on an adventure to save the world from the Absolute. Gale is a wizard cast aside and after two years in isolation he is unsure of how to act around the pretty sorcerer. Astarion is a vampire who sees everyone as an opportunity for personal gain, but Levina's kindness starts to get him to open up for the first time in two centuries. Levina is torn between the two and its incredibly inconvenient for her since she swore she'd never love again, but now two different men have 'wormed' their way into her heart and mind and she doesn't know what decision to make, or how to quell the storm inside her.

She sees Cazador, beaten and broken on the ground. "...I know." The words finally break free from her tightening throat. Her eyebrows furrow just enough as she meets his eyes again, her jaw sets. "That's why I can't, Astarion." "...What?" The dagger held in his palm glistens as it turns. With a tilt of his head, he searches her eyes for any give but he knows her answer is... final. Done. He can't talk her into this, and that more than anything proves to be the first and final nail in the coffin. "Astarion, I need you to understand exactly what it is you're asking me to do. To understand why I'm saying no-" "No." His expression contorts just slightly, grip tightening around the dagger, nostrils flaring in a way she's seen many times - but never once directed towards her. "I understand completely." Elkyra can sense the line he just drew, a valley with it's connecting bridge reduced to glittering embers. The one she so carefully built, gone beneath her feet. ______________________________________________ This is an exploration of a headcanon idea I had, born from a bad dice roll.

After the Grove has been saved and Halsin has returned, Deia and the companions allowed themselves to enjoy the victory with a big celebration. What Deia didn't yet realize, however, is that this evening will be significant for more reasons that one. One of these reasons is no other than Gale. (This is one chapter from the upcoming novel that I am working on. It is dedicated to Baldur's Gate 3 with a primary focus on Gale and Deia.)

Astarion has everything he ever wanted. He is the Vampire Ascendant, the King of Vampires, he has everything. So why does he feel so empty? The Mysterious stranger in his home might hold the answers, but would knowing cost him everything? -- I wrote this after my first game, where I ascendant Astarion, who I was romancing, which resulted in the break up as I didn't want to be his spawn. I felt so bad I wanted to redo the choice, but instead, I wrote this scene. Hope you enjoy!

"Would you like to experience flight, Astarion?" Halsin asked suddenly. Astarion was snapped back to the present, surprised face meeting Halsin's kind eyes. The giant of an elf was standing now, shoulders squared with Astarion's. "It's not possible." Astarion said at last. "I didn't ask if it was possible. I asked if you would like to experience it." Halsin stood before him, determined to pull an honest answer from the vampire's lips. Astarion looked at the ground. If he'd been capable of it, embarrassment would've turned his pale face red by now. "Yes. I would." he whispered at last.

The day she was ripped away from her lover, and into another life, a constant headache began. But she would've endured it for lifetimes to get him back. When she saw that flash of white hair again, it was as if a clawed hand was gripping the heart in her chest, squeezing every emotion she'd held back for the last 200 years. "Lamentable is the autumn picker content with plums" Said the soft voice aloud. The words embroidered into the sheen fabric held less meaning everyday. The details of a face his fingers used to trace were almost all but erased from his brain. So now he mourns the love he once held for a woman whose name he can't recall. He always hated plums, although the juice they drip is now an all to familiar color, so similar to the drip from the slumped rodent lying cold in his hand.
