The Untold contexts left burried inside. Ramayana is an ancient Indian epic written sometime in the fifth century BCE about Rama, prince of Ayodhya who is exiled and then returns. The sage Valmiki wrote it in Sanskrit and taught it to Rama's sons, the twins Lava and Kush. It is a rather long poem, with approximately 24000 verses and is known as the Adi Kavya. (adi = original, first; kavya=poem) While the basic story is about palace politics and battles with demon tribes, the narrative is interspersed with philosophy, ethics, and notes on duty. We all know the story of Ramayana. This story is an attempt to re-tell the story of Ramayana, with more creative nuances. Please note, that the story is entirely based upon the version of Ramayana that I have heard and read. Some incidents and parts of the story are fictitious, which I added to enhance the flow. I am deeply sorry for any mistakes which may have occurred. Please guide me and help me to remove any mistakes.

Rama went through a lot more than just what is known to most people. He smiled through adversity, but did that mean he was happy? What did he feel, as a child, when he achieved all his feats? When people hailed him? What did he feel like when he himself needed to exile his wife? When he needed to ask her to prove her purity? When he saw Lakshmana walk to him despite his order to him to protect Sita? When he finally killed Ravana? When he met his sons? This is an attempt to comprehend just that. (It's an attempt, also, to humanise Sri Rama and see him as more than just a king. It's to see his emotions behind the confident aura of an emperor. Please do not read further if humanising Sri Rama is something you're against. Thanks :)

Vālmīki's Rāmāyaṇa inspired the stories in this collection to answer questions such as these: What would Rāma have thought about a monument to mark his janmabhūmi? Why did Rāma tell Bharata that the kingdom was Kaikeyī's bride-price? How did Hanumat get the idea that Rāvaṇa never abducted any unwilling or married woman before Sītā? Why did the luminous herbs disappear when Hanumat came for them? At what age were Rāma and Sītā exiled? Did Hanumat witness Dhānyamālinī or Mandodarī distracting Rāvaṇa from Sītā? How could Mahodara and Mahāpārśva return to battle after they were slain? The title is Saṃskṛta and means "Recognize Ayodhyā In The Wilderness," which was part of Sumitrā's advice to Lakṣmaṇa in Vālmīki's Rāmāyaṇa. The first six chapters are Drabbles of exactly 100 words, and the next eight chapters are Microtales of 15 words. Much later, I added another Drabble as the fifteenth chapter. This is an attempt to encapsulate some moments from the stories of Vāsudeva in shorts that may succeed in giving the tiniest glimpse of Vaikunthanātha. This is my attempt at writing about Rāmachandra, whom I love and revere beyond what my words can explain.
