Twenty-two-year-old Ananya was nothing more than a financial asset to her own parents-betrayed, silenced, and forced into a marriage to clear her family's debts. In a final act of defiance, she falls to her death with a desperate prayer on her lips: Give me a family that loves me. Give me brothers who will stand by me. Awakening in the cosmic, ancient wilderness of the Shatashringa forest, her soul answers the sacred prayers of Queen Kunti and Queen Madri. Reborn as the youngest sibling and only sister to the legendary Pandavas, she carries the cynical, sharp mind of the 21st century into an era governed by rigid destiny. She knows the grand epic inside and out. She knows the politics, the dice game, and the impending devastation of Kurukshetra. As the Sixth Shadow, she must navigate her fierce new reality-not just as a princess to be protected, but as the ultimate secret weapon who will rewrite history to save the brothers she always prayed for.

There were, truth be told, not many worse ways to meet Duryodhan again than what was happening right now. Karna had been captured. Captured. On the 7th day of war. It had longer than that to convince Mahamahim Bhisma to let Karna fight under him. In Karna's defence, atleast half of the Pandava army was focusing on him. Not Bhisma who probably caused 10x the damage Karna caused. Not Drona. No, their full focus was on Karna. Captuing him specifically. Not even killing him. The audacity. Not that they were without reason. It was quite simple, actually. Capture Karna and Duryodhan would come (probably) and they could settle out a treaty in which the pandavas got their Indraprastha, Duryodhan got Hastinapura and Karna got exactly no dignity. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let me clarify some things -- 1) Dyut Sabha happened 2) Draupadi disrobing did not happen. 3) Criticism accepted.

It was not every day that Hastinapur hosted all its princes these days. Especially since five of them were no longer just Princes of Hastinapur. Duryodhan made sure that whenever his cousins visited, he was not in Hastinapur. His parents, uncle and pitamah did not like this-- each had their own reasons-- but Duryodhan always managed to get away in the end. Except this time, because apparently, the Pandavas had come specifically to meet him. He had not been able to fathom why. In hindsight, he would have not have been able to fathom why even if he had been told 2 days earlier instead of 2 hours. He would have also, prefered having his uncle with him instead on in Gandhar. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Where Kunti comes out a tad sooner, Yudhisthira is politically savvy, Duryodhan is stressed, Shakuni is thankfully absent, Arjun is depressed and Karna is just confused. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Set years before the dyut sabha, so before that it is placed several years before the Pandavas had done the raj surya yagya, and even before when Arjun had left for his exile.

In Mahābhārata, Kṛṣṇā Draupadī receives Jayadratha hospitably, offering him and his entourage whatever she has on hand for breakfast. Vṛkodara Bhīma and her other husbands have gone hunting because fifty slaughtered animals are not enough to feed them, their brāhmaṇa dependents, and their servants for the day. Kṛṣṇā assures Jayadratha that Yudhiṣṭhira is on his way back with more food: various kinds of antelope and deer and elk (aiṇeya, pṛṣata, nyaṅku, hariṇa, śarabha, ṛśya, ruru, śambara), as well as hares, oxen, boars, buffalo, and other animals. However, Jayadratha is hungry for something other than breakfast, left behind by the Wolf-Belly and her other husbands ... Kṛṣṇā herself! The lifestyles and experiences of diverse characters from Mahābhārata are presented in the other chapters: (1) Satyabhāmā; (2) Śikhaṇḍin's wife Dāśārṇī; (3) Babhru Akrūra's wife Sauvīrī who was abducted by Śiśupāla; (4) Kṛpī; (5) Duḥśalā and Jayadratha; (6) Subhadrā and Uttarā with Parikṣit; (7) Kṛṣṇa's half-brother Jarā and his mother Turī; (8) Prātikāmin the chariot-driver of Duryodhana; (9) Sāmba who pretended to carry Babhru's child while married to Babhru's daughter Vasuṃdharā; (10) Kareṇuvatī the sister of Dhṛṣṭaketu; (11) Ekalavya the son of Śrutadevā; (12) Śakuni's nephews Vikarṇa and Citrasena. The title is Saṃskṛta and means "I'll give you fifty animals for breakfast." Cover Credit: @PriyaArshiSarun

Keerthi's life was set with her two friends: finish collage, get a steady job, and be happy. But on the fateful day of her twentieth birthday, her life was completely uprooted - ripped apart from the roots and thrown into the wind. An attack by one of her father's enemies kills her best friend and fatally wounds her. Unconscious for two days, she wakes up in a completely unfamiliar place, bedecked with riches. She realizes she has been thrown into the Mahabharata, one of the most famous Indian epics, and right in the dead center between the two sides. All she knows now is that she needs Krishna, the God she considers her brother. But there is a communication barrier between the people of Dwaparyug and her, and her faint Sanskrit lessons from eight years ago aren't enough. When she finally meets Dwarakadeesh, he tells her that the fate of Aryavarth, true justice, lies in her hands now. Will this strong-willed girl survive everything thrown at her in this new yuga, or is she doomed to letting those she has come to care for die on the inside and the outside?
