NOMINATED FOR THE WATTSPADDING READERS CHOICE AWARDS Seven Months follows two scarred souls on opposite sides of Nigeria's most brutal war. Obianuju, once a quiet student in Zaria, survives a massacre that takes her sister's life and leaves her permanently injured. Haunted by loss, silenced by trauma, she returns to the East to find her home changed and her future hijacked. When war is declared, she forms a rebel cell-not for glory, but for vengeance. Salisu, the son of a northern civil servant killed in the January 1966 coup, watches his family fall apart under the weight of grief and betrayal. Unable to heal or forgive, he enlists in the military, fueled by rage and duty. But as the war drags on, his reasons begin to blur. Set between June 1969 and January 1970, Seven Months is a powerful tale of identity, pain, and survival in a country at war with itself. Through shifting loyalties and buried truths, Obianuju and Salisu confront not only their enemies-but everything they've been told to believe. 🏆Awards🏆 Best Prologue in The Blazing Verse Awards 🥉3rd Place in Best Prologue in the Nine Tailed Awards

Beautifully written with a compelling story-arc and splashes of humor, this novel explores issues of fate and choice against a backdrop of Proposition 13, Jonestown mass suicide, Moscone and Milk murders, the rise of New Wave music, and the Twinkie Defense. Meet the latest incarnation of a love triangle: ambitious Laura, new to grad school and Berkeley, her go-with-the-flow boyfriend Walt, and his arrogant rival Cob, another grad student. The trio vows to "get it right this time" but intention meets karma and loses – again. Laura's choice between the men she loves, compromised by her desire to hold on to both, brings this story to its stunning conclusion. Hitch a ride with these characters, and come away glad you've met.

Good morning everyone!Hope you are well! Today I want to talk to you about Brownie! Fantastic creatures that populate the traditional Scottish stories, a bit grumpy, who do not like contact with humans despite being willing to help them with the boring chores every night in exchange for a cup of milk and porridge! Scotland is also the land that hosted me first for six months to study Scottish literature, and later saved me from the "Grey Men - and Women - who populate the Beautiful Country in which I had the (s)fortune to be born! People who follow only the law "Homo Homini Lupus, without even knowing in depth some elementary rules of their native language! Luckily I live in Scotland and my girls were born and will grow up in a more civilized country, where the DIGNITY of each human being is widely protected! If you want to know a brownie story told by the Dreaming Panda of the Cosmopolitan Family, all you have to do is buy a copy of the first book illustrated by CINNAMOM! https://www.authorhouse.com/en/bookstore/bookdetails/815029-a-gathering-of-tales-from-a-cosmopolitan-family
