Cassandra Young, a 16 year old girl from Ohio moves to Los Angeles, California with her family because of a job deal that her father has taken. She loves to read and write, one day she gets motivated by her family and small group of friends to enter a writing contest. She has to write a story of any subject and the winner gets their story published and turned into a movie. Will Cassandra win that contest and get the big break she has been dreaming about?

Actress Peyton Larks has been acting since she was 10 years old. Now being 16, she has more experience. She still goes to school with her best friends Kendall and Charlotte so she lives a pretty normal life in Hollywood... If a normal Hollywood life existed. Finally Peyton gets her big break. She gets the role of Elise Willow in a new movie called Plastic Roses. What she doesn't know, is how her role will affect her grades, her friendships, and soon her relationships.
