Life hasn't always been the best for Y/n L/n. After being fired from the NYPD, things haven't been going great. A cruel landlord breathing down his neck, debts all the way up to his eyeballs, owing money to some shady people he loaned off just to get by and many other unfortunate events. At least that is until he saves a young but troubled brown haired woman with problems with drug use from some petty thugs threatening her with a knife. After saving her and giving her a place to stay, she repays him by putting in a word with Snow White. Turns out the woman he saved was Red Riding Hood. A woman in her adult years and problems with accepting her new life even after so many years. Snow was very reluctant and had to be really convinced but managed to convince Crane to give Y/n a job as Fabletown's only human resident and Deputy. Being the Deputy to a bunch of Fables is bad enough when they trust him even less than the big bad wolf himself but Y/n does what he can to survive a new world that may not want him but definitely needs him. Will Y/n survive the world of Fables that don't care for his existence or will he die in some gutter? Let's find out... This is a re-write of my first novel "City of Whispers". I just hated it so Im re-writting it so I can continue my story as I wanted. I made a lot of mistakes about the characters because in that time I hadn't read the comics yet. So now I did, and I think its the best time to continue! This is a story about a fable named Bigby wolf more commonly know as the big bad wolf from fairytales. He didn't really become the big bad wolf until his father abandoned his dying mother Winter Wolf. He tendered his mother while his brothers went out the look for the father. He ate bigger animals, eventually growing big enough to protect his mother while looking for his father but it was too late. His mother had died, heartbroken so Bigby so vengeance on his father. When the beautiful Snow White came to cut him with a special Lycanthropy knife he was declared to protect Fabletown citizens and stop then from revealing themselves to the Mundy world. But he also needed to control himself. Bigby had killed a lot of Fables in the past and was determined to redeem himself, not the Big Bad Wolf they all call him. After a mission was set up of kidnapping and murder for Bigby to solve, Snow declared him stop harming people, but will he listen? :D
