In February, Ahmaud Arbery, a young black man was shot to death by two white men in a neighborhood outside of Brunswick, Georgia. The circumstances of this shooting were suspicious as the men initially were not arrested for this crime. As of late, the men were arrested, but only after a video surfaced of the crime taking place. I can't understand how far we've come as a country but yet we're still dealing with such blatant racism. As I mourn Ahmaud's death alongside many, the words in this poem flowed freely.

An anonymous friend of mine is known as a baked goods bigot. I sought out an ex brownie bully known as Gilbert Sampsonite, who regaled me with his story in great detail, this is what he told me.
