When she finally sees herself in the dressing room as JayDee, she understands why she's not lesbian, but in fact a male. What will Jess do with suddenly realization as He now has to face the fact that he will never be able to go home. What will he do when it accidentally comes out to his best friend that thinks he's just a cross dressing singer? You know there's only one way to find out and that is start reading.

In February, Ahmaud Arbery, a young black man was shot to death by two white men in a neighborhood outside of Brunswick, Georgia. The circumstances of this shooting were suspicious as the men initially were not arrested for this crime. As of late, the men were arrested, but only after a video surfaced of the crime taking place. I can't understand how far we've come as a country but yet we're still dealing with such blatant racism. As I mourn Ahmaud's death alongside many, the words in this poem flowed freely.

This is a poem I just wrote for my mom... I have the greatest and strongest mom possible. But today she had a hard day... She was pretty much told that even though she cares for so many people that say they care and respect her that her opinion has no weight... It hurt her so much but she ran away before she let any of us girls see her tears fall. I wish there were no more bigots in the world and that I could protect her from all the pain...
