Summary: Annie Hurley doesn't give a shit.She doesn't make efforts or get involved or worry about what people think about her.She doesn't work on the school play or reach out to kids being bullied or form romantic attachments. She doesn't do any of this...until she does. Alternative summary: Annie Hurley's day-to-day agenda consists of avoiding extracurriculars, bumming weed off her loser friends, and tofu shopping with her long term boyfriend, Dade. She's the goddamn poster child for apathy and proud of it. It's a pretty easy life, until Dade breaks off their obvious dead-end coupling. Adding insult to injury, he not only reveals to her the specific incident behind their break up, kickstarting an identity crisis for the ages, but somehow needles Annie into joining stage crew to pad her college applications at the same time. Eventually, Annie realizes it's time to stop being a chronic underachiever (literally), a tourist in her own life, and learn to care.

Also there are a couple violent scenes (but they're not gory and not that bad). In addition, Alex is required to undress and shower in front of others. But that's about it!

Born in Poland 1933, lived in England 1939, dying in Australia 1962. The Tragedy of Izaak Levinsky is a self-reflection of the famous novelist's life, particularly of his year at Norwich School for Boys. In his feverish state, Levinsky writes about the struggles of being Jewish in an anti-Semitic world, the abuse he suffered at the hands of his mother, and the illegal love he felt for his best friend, Theodore Edwards. Oh, and a curse. But that's entirely unrelated. Right?
