Ethan Rost was a hero-a firefighter, a husband, a father. The man who ran into the flames so others could live. But when cancer came for him, he took the miracle cure the world called Genesis, the patch for all human rot, the salvation sold in glossy ads and whispered boardrooms. It cured the tumors. It rewrote his cells. It promised forever. It never said who would live forever inside the rotting cage. Now Ethan is a Remnant-mind trapped behind bone and teeth, forced to watch as the monster in his skin tears through the world he died trying to protect. He can taste every scream. Hear every heartbeat before his hands rip it away. And in the static between kills, he finds others, a chorus of broken minds still awake inside their walking corpses. And far below the ruins, Connor Hale, the last scientist who warned them all, hides behind flickering screens and dying servers, fighting to crack the Genesis code before it devours the last hope for what makes us human. He knows the cure was a lie. He knows the monster is awake. And he knows some things should never be brought back from the grave. This is not your regular zombie apocalypse. No safe farmhouses. No cartoon headshots. No heroes with endless ammo and witty one-liners. This is the apocalypse from the inside out, the last fragments of memory and mercy fighting inside the gnashing teeth. THE PASSENGER is about what happens after the infection, after the flesh is gone, when the only thing left worth saving is your soul. They don't die. They don't sleep. And memory...is the only thing they can't kill.

What was Kirkwall going to do with five Hawke siblings roaming the city? Two had been bad enough, but no, this time it was five. Aryia, Garrett, Carver, Bethany and Sarai had all made it to Kirkwall with their mother and mabrai, and now were clawing their way out of the dirt to give their family a better life. Will they manage it successfully, or will the family fall apart to old and new wounds? (Basically I picked all my Hawkes. Mage, Warrior and Rogue, and Purple, Blue and Red. Why choose one when you can have all playthroughs?)

**Story has been rewritten, and new chapters will be added!** Unlike her brother, the celebrated Commander Shepard, Aster Shepard preferred the grit and anonymity of the underworld to the flash of galactic headlines. While John blasted Reapers and saved civilizations, Aster dealt with the threats that festered in the shadows, the ones too politically inconvenient for the Council to acknowledge publicly. This time, it was an illegal AI. Rumors whispered through the extranet about a potentially dangerous, sentient program being developed at the prestigious Thessian Science Academy. The Council, naturally, wanted plausible deniability. Hence, Aster's intervention. **If you are enjoying the story or want to read another Mass Effect fanfiction, check out my new Mass Effect Fanfiction called For Peace**

Akuze taught him how to survive. The Reapers will decide what survival costs. Nektarios Shepard should have died on Akuze. Fifty Alliance marines went beneath the planet's surface. One came back. Six years later, the military has polished the massacre into a legend and placed its survivor aboard the SSV Normandy-a prototype warship built through an uneasy partnership with the turians. If the mission succeeds, Nektarios could become humanity's first Spectre. Eden Prime should be a routine shakedown. Instead, an ancient beacon forces a vision into Nektarios' mind: worlds burning, machines descending and every civilisation in the galaxy being systematically erased. The Citadel Council calls it trauma. Rogue Spectre Saren Arterius calls submission survival. Hunting Saren forces Nektarios to place his life in the hands of strangers: a turian investigator suffocating beneath procedure, a young quarian carrying evidence no one else survived to recover, a krogan mercenary with no reason to trust humanity and an asari archaeologist whose mother stands beside the enemy. But Cerberus keeps appearing at the edges of the investigation-and the deeper Nektarios digs, the more he suspects Akuze was never the accident the Alliance declared it to be. He survived the first grave. The next is large enough for every species in the galaxy.

To the galaxy, Commander Jake Shepard was a savior-a legendary figure who gave his life to defeat the Reapers and secure a future for every living soul. To eighteen-year-old Alliance recruit Alan, Shepard was just a signature on a monthly child-support check. They met only once, parting on bitter terms just before the final assault on Earth. Now, the war is won, the Commander is dead, and Alan is left stranded in the crushing shadow of a father he never knew. When he is sent to clear out his father's Citadel apartment, he runs headfirst into the people who actually loved the man: his crew, and Major Kaidan Alenko, the late Commander's partner. As the galaxy desperately tries to mold a grieving, angry teenager into the "Next Shepard," Alan must figure out how to navigate a legacy he never asked for-and find a way to say goodbye to a ghost.

The war is over. The Reapers are gone. But for Commander Jane Shepard, the battle for her soul has just begun. In the final moments of the Reaper War, the legendary "Butcher of Torfan" made the ultimate choice. She activated the Crucible, wiped out synthetic life, and secured a victory built on the bones of allies and the ashes of civilizations. But the feedback from the Destroy pulse didn't just kill the Reapers-it shattered Shepard's mind. Buried under the rubble of the Citadel, Shepard survived. But the woman who took that iconic final breath is gone. In her place is a "Jane" with the mind of a child-innocent, frightened, and blissfully unaware of the galactic atrocities she committed to win the war. Now, hidden away on a quiet estate on Earth, Dr. Karin Chakwas fights a new kind of war: a battle to protect a broken hero from a galaxy that wants her head. As Shepard's memories begin to return in jagged, terrifying flashes, she must reckon with her "Renegade" past through the eyes of the child she has become. Can the woman who broke the galaxy find redemption in the silence of its aftermath? Or will the "Red Death" wake up and realize that some sins can never be washed away?

Mass Effect and its characters belong to Bioware. Warning: Contains spoilers for the end of Mass Effect 3 Note: This story is in its early stages. An epilogue featuring my Colonist, War Hero, Paragon, Fem!Shep that chose the destroy option at the end of Mass Effect 3 and romanced Garrus. I will refrain from using her first name as I want people to read this as if it's their own female Shepard. This work features my theories surrounding the ending of Mass Effect 3 and Shepard's survival.

Inquisitor Leonardo Trevelyan always thought fighting an ancient darkspawn magister and traveling into the future was the weirdest his life could get, but he couldn't have been more wrong. Discovering that there is a new threat named the Reaper traveling across the multiverse and killing Inquisitors, he must seek out the help of other Inquisitors from the parallel universes to put an end to the Reaper's plot and save the multiverse. The ultimate quarantine is about to become the perfect trap. Inside the hyperbaric chamber at University Medical, the world is deathly silent. For Joel, Hank, and Chloe, it was supposed to be a routine medical treatment-locked away inside a heavy steel vault at two-and-a-half times normal atmospheric pressure. Then, through the thick acrylic viewing glass, they watch the world outside collapse. A hyper-acute neurological pathogen is tearing through the hospital, instantly hijacking the minds of the staff and turning them into vicious, predatory hunters. It isn't airborne. The three patients inside the chamber are entirely helpless, forced to watch the bloody chaos unfold like a muted horror movie. When their own operating technician is compromised, the chamber's automated console detects the abandoned controls and triggers an emergency abort. But you cannot simply open a pressure vault. To survive the transition to the outside world, they must endure a mandatory, agonizingly slow fifty-five-minute decompression cycle. If they force the door early, their blood will boil. If they wait, the electronic hatch will click open automatically, delivering them straight into a dark, red-lit hospital overrun by the infected. As the digital clock above the door counts down, the tension inside the chamber reaches a boiling point. Trapped with a failing ventilator patient and a rapidly dwindling oxygen supply, they have exactly fifty-five minutes to adapt, scavenge their clinical prison for makeshift armor, and figure out how to survive the second the seal breaks. They are perfectly safe. For now. But the clock is ticking. And the door is going to open.
