Risha May has a birthmark, on her left ankle, the shape of a demon and whenever she touches it, a searing pain floods through her body. Her old friend (Cara Jackson) knew what she was; she found out from myths and legends. Risha's mum told Cara to not tell Risha because she was too young to take it all in. Since she joined Darvington Academy, no one liked her and no one socialized with her except a girl with the name of Lindsey Roberts. Risha's parents also had the a similar birthmark except it was an angel and on their wrists. Risha's sixteen year old brother, George, knows what she is.
