Will Byers and Mike Wheeler get into a fight. Mike said something that was truly unforgivable to Will, breaking his heart. Mike doesn't notice that Will loves him, he just thinks that Will likes him a lot in a friend way. Although, he's proven wrong. Will they date? Will Mike reject him? Who knows.

Before they go into the Upside Down for the final battle, Mike finds some time to speak with Will about the major event that just occurred: Will coming out to the entire group. Being able to piece the puzzle together, Mike realizes he is the boy that Will had a crush on, and this brings out new emotions and feelings he never expected. Mike has stopped caring. Will still does. Ever since Eleven showed up, Mike has changed. First he loved both El and Will, but now it's just her. Mike doesn't even notice Will anymore. But now Will has hope. Eleven and Mike have broken up and when Mike shows up at Will's door the next morning, Will is feeling something new. Hope. In this short gap of time before El and Mike get together again, it's Will's time to make the moves for once.

I have a horrible feeling that season 5 is going to do Byler dirty so here's how i feel it should play out if the plot of the show was purely centred around their romance (ie I'm not enough of a sci-fi nerd to give this fic a proper since fiction worthy plotline so just enjoy my gay love stories) after season 4 ends and the byers move back to hawkins, will has to confront his feelings for mike whilst forced into the close quarters of living together and mike comes to realisations about his relationship with el and his own identity this fic is completely canon compliant thus far (obviously if you read this once season 5 is out it wont be anymore) and should work as a natural continuation of season 4, it will absolutely have a happy and satisfactory ending and i hope to finish it before the 26th of November COVER ART IS NOT MINE
