'When Tyler awoke, he found himself in that same damn room he'd seen before. Back in this dream again? He might as well just get it over with- it would be over soon.' -=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Tyler's life was filled with nights of performing in front of hundreds, or even thousands. He loved it, using his music to help those he came across handle issues he himself had. Every once in a while, though, he would dream of a place called Dema. Tyler absolutely hated Dema, but what would happen if he awoke there one night and never left? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ꜰᴘᴇ is the story of Dema throughout the Blurryface, Trench, and Scaled and Icy eras. Any characters or places referenced are used fictitiously and do not intend to offend anyone. Clancy is just another citizen in Dema, a city tortured by many Bishops trying to keep everyone from revolting against them. That seems to go fairly well until Clancy starts to receive some weird letters and things start to change. Quickly. ((Or: I am very bad in descriptions just read the story))

I watched, flinching as one of the Bishops, the one that goes by Nico, grabbed him by the throat and lifted him in the air. He struggled, kicking and clawing, doing anything to get free. Nothing worked. I tried to look away as blackness seeped from Nico's dark hand and curled around the man's throat, but I couldn't. Once the darkness covered his throat, the Bishop dropped him. He landed hard on his knees, heaving, desperately trying to get air back into his lungs. Then Nico grabbed him by the wrists and proceeded to turn his hands black, just like his throat. Tears fell from my eyes as the fight almost immediately drifted from the new comers eyes. Nico smiled at him, "Welcome to Dema."

"The fear and pain shall not be elements that stop us, but what feeds us to persevere." Clancy is a Scribe within the walled city of Dema, a silent, gray place where everything is performed with efficiency and repetition. While he is proud to represent his district amongst the Scribes and relay the history of Dema for future generations, he begins to feel that there is something missing within the city that can only be found outside the walls. Risking everything to escape the perimeters, Clancy realizes that the ravines of Trench can be a dangerous place, especially with the canyon's labyrinthine pathways and the Bishops at his heels. Lianna Higgins and her odd trio of outcasts have been scouting Trench for the better part of three years, hoping to one day liberate the people of Dema themselves, even if it means risking their lives. When Lianna stumbles upon an escapee from Dema fate brings them and Lianna's crew to the Banditos, who themselves are devoted to usurping the Bishops and bring the walls of the gray city down. Lianna doesn't enjoy the Banditos' company - as a matter of fact, she despises their company - but she doesn't have anywhere else to go and the life of a timid young Scribe now rests like a heavy weight on her shoulders. The trial ahead will be hard and neither Clancy nor Lianna are eager to weigh the odds - but joining the Banditos and severing ties with Dema may be the only way for them to survive. Twenty years after Josh, Tyler and the Banditos escaped the confines of DEMA, a new wave of rebels has arisen, desperate for freedom. June and the other Banditos are on the brink of escape, and it would be a whole lot easier if the Bishops weren't set on their destruction. We'll win, but not everyone will get out...

Tyler had been in Dema for as long as he could remember. It was one of the only places he knew. But he also knew that there was life outside of these walls. Beyond the control of the Bishops. Tyler, with the help of a rebel named Josh, tries to find a way to escape Dema to a new, free life outside the walls. But will Tyler's fear attract the Bishop's again? {Not Joshler}

Tyler's been stuck in Dema for... well, it's been too long to know for sure now. With multiple attempts, hope, and a little bit of anonymous outside help, will this escape attempt be his final? Or will he be captured by Dema's cult leaders, the Bishops?

The cycle has, once again, repeated itself. Dema is now ruled over by 9 new Bishops, the most powerful of which being Clancy, or as he is now known, Nova. Once a pragmatic escapee, Clancy now carries out the one thing he swore to denounce. Vialism. The Banditos have found themselves right back where they started. Seen as the enemy, they still try every means possible to bring peace and safety to the people of Dema, but their attempts are futile. When all hope seems lost, another escapee is found. People assume that she is just another citizen looking for a brief reprieve from the oppression. But they were wrong. She is the only one who can save Trench from the iron fists of the Bishops. She is The Øne. First story! I hope that little blurb hooks you in :3 I will try and update this as much as possible, but, as most people do, I have quite a busy life. Nevertheless, updates will come periodically, and on a Tuesday (IF I CAN GET THEM OUT ON TIME) If you find any grammar mistakes, and/or any mistakes in the lore (e.g timeline order) then please let me know! I will be adding and changing things, but if there's anything blatantly wrong, call me out on it.
