I slowly look up at him. My cheek burns from the sting, a sharp reminder of his anger, as the redness creeps in. But my eyes remain hollow, empty, like they always do. This pain isn't new. I've learned to endure it, to swallow it whole. But what he says next shakes something deep inside me, something I thought was already dead. "What?.." I whisper, my voice barely audible, trembling with disbelief. "Let's get a divorce." he repeats, each word cutting like glass. His gaze is sharp, furious, and unforgiving. "You don't mean it-" "I DO! For fuck's sake, don't you get it?" he snaps, his voice raising to a roar. "I've been using you all this time for my own pleasure-" "You're lying." My voice cracks, anger bubbling under the surface, but I clutch onto the hope like a lifeline. "I know you are. You can't fool me." "Yet I managed to fool you all this time." His lips curl into something close to a sneer, his tone dripping with disdain. "And now that she's finally dead, I can leave." He says it so plainly, so cruelly, as if it's just another fact of life. His eyes are cold, devoid of even the faintest shred of humanity. My heart feels like it's been yanked out of my chest, dropping into a pit I can't crawl out of. The air in the room thickens, suffocating me as the truth slams into me. Tears prick my eyes, threatening to spill, but I can't move, can't speak. He doesn't wait for a response. He grabs his coat, not sparing me another glance. The sound of the door slamming behind him echoes in the hollow emptiness of the house. I stand there, frozen, staring at the spot where he had just stood, the words "she's finally dead" replaying in my head over and over.

scribbling and saving those flash flood feelings

A family of five are watching the casual news until something bad breaks out. A man goes rouge and started eating people. The family panics and hides in their house for a few days until they have to leave to find food and water. This family consists of Kelsey, Eireann, Cavan, Londyn, and Tamara. Kelsey is the father and he would do anything for his family. He is also a very brave man. He used to want to be a business manager. He did have a bad temper though. Eireann is the mother. She would make sure her children knew how to endure the pain. She was the teacher. Her job before was a cafe owner. Cavan was the adopted son. They adopted him when he was five. He loved hunting and wanted to keep his show of his own, but had many people beat him to it. He never got any attention and almost got depression. Londyn was the youngest daughter. She was always happy and joyful making everyone laugh. She told stories to everyone to make them smile. She made sure the group stayed together and helped everyone in hard times. Tamara was the kind who would flirt with boys for a long time and failed. She then changed. Before she was just a normal kid, but after she was a survivor and fighter. She endured all the pain like her mother taught her. She was sassy, but still sweet. Before the outbreak she was a worker at her mother's cafe.
