Forced into years of Tae Kwon Do by a manipulative mother who turned a shared hobby into a cover for an affair, a young girl finds herself entangled in betrayal, guilt, and control. Though their initial encounters are tense, Sera's determination gradually breaks through Roxxant's tough exterior, leading to an unexpected bond as they train together.

Inspired by Head Over Boots by Jon Pardi. __________________________________ Marlee Marks is the queen bee of her unit. She's there after a trauma that evolved from bullying occurred, scarring her for life, physically and mentally. Marlee Uriah Marks had always been the "lowlife", shall we say, of Rudderville High School. Nicknamed "Mummy Marlee" by her peers, she was teased and pushed around until one day it went too far. The ringleader had pushed Marlee to the ground and punctured her stomach with a knife, ripping it down from her rib cage to her belly button. She left the knife in Marlee's stomach and left with her followers. A few hours later one of the kids from school came back to get her, carrying her inside to a teacher, who brought them to a hospital. There the classmate explained what happened while the doctors brought Marlee into surgery and removed the knife before doing their best to patch her up. The police identified the ringleader by fingerprint and arrested her before sending Marlee to the rehab hospital a few months later when she was found to have deteriorating speech and limited interaction with other people. Vincent Mason, Marlee's rescuer, visited her every day in the hospital and he was also found to have a lack of human interaction and deteriorating social health, so was sent to the rehab center with Marlee. It was unanimously decided they should be in the same unit, so if they ever spoke they could have someone to share memories with. Marlee discovers a ballroom, and it brings back bad memories. Soon she shows Vincent, trying to solve the problem, and he begins to teach her a way to express her feelings of pain and hate through something good. At the rehab center where Jana has been placed, there are nineteen others in her unit. Some are war vets like her, others experienced trauma, a few were abused, and some more were taken hostage during the war. After a few weeks there, though, Unit 479C starts wondering about their "mom", who takes care of them and begins their therapy. Jon, or "Mom", is a worker at the rehab center. He does his job so well that his subjects begin to wonder about his past and why he hasn't told them anything about himself that happened before he was taken in by the center years ago. Jana can't resist prodding him, so eventually she gives in to her curiosity and starts doing some research. (Same universe as You Might Think I'm Crazy and Some Old Dance Floor)

ORPHAN, that's what Xena Jax was after her parents were murdered. '"Why would you do that?!" Xena scream and cried. They said nothing and ran out the door.' Xena is a thirteen year old black belt. She is also apart of an academy called the sok, (support of karate). But it so happens that her rivals are not so far away from sok, they are called the kks (Karate kid society). The authorities at the kks train their kids to be ruthless. Soon after Xena's adoption, she runs into more trouble with the kks. 'She grabbed her bag and started running away and one of them yelled... "We will find where you live and send our parents over!" She kept running home crying...hard.' What happens if she finds out her adoptive parent was apart of the kks? She needed a lot of help from friends, and they run into some life or death situations. Will they all survive? It's a battle to the death. (also a little disclaimer, I wasn't adopted so I don't know how that's like. I kinda just made that up as I went.) also will be uploading every Monday until the end of the book:)
