"Maybe that's why my foster parents were so bad... they were easily persuaded by anyone who had the combination of a pretty face, charisma and spoke of world harmony. They let me go with her." Edna James never had a lot of faith in the law. The law allowed her parents to keep her in their custody, the law allowed her family to forget her, and the law allowed her to be bounced between foster homes for years. But the law also gave her Susannah, the only guardian that ever seemed to care about her. For a year, Edna had almost convinced herself that everything before had just been a dream. This is a story that I made up while working one morning. It is a fable that explain why the blackbird is black.

And after a while it was made clear that this sweet little girl was indeed a meta, a meta with the power to control time. When Mary and John died and Dick and Thyme went to live with the one and only Batman, Thyme was warned to use her powers only in emergency, and that real power was not in that of the supernatural. She understood and joined the Bat Family. Batman. Robin. Blackbird.

My story, "Blackbird" is about two pairs of siblings, The Phan's (Asiya and Jose) and The Tran's (Jia & Aidyn), who are huge WWE fans that they enter a WWE tryout at the Blackbird Bay Mall in their town, which indeed they all make it through but through it all, Asiya's the only one that Triple H, Vince and Stephanie McMahon, the five picked wrestlers that came to watch them tryout, and most of the WWE Universe likes her and not her brother Jose, not her friend Jia, and definitely not Aidyn so they quit on her eventually. Could Jia, Aidyn, and Jose handle Asiya's popularity? Will Jose still be supportive of his little sister? Will Jia still be friends with Asiya? Lastly, will the couples stay together? Painkiller was tasked to kill the Pierce family, however, Jennifer had powers of her own to keep everyone safe as her father was a direct relative of the first metahuman, causing her and her family's electric powers to be stable. Now, Khalil was brought back by TC, another metahuman whose abilities let him talk with machines. However, Khalil has several mental battles with Painkiller, which cause Jennifer to say she can no longer love him for who he is because he's become a weapon. He leaves in search of his true self, but what really will happen between Jennifer and Khalil with Freeland falling apart as a result of Tobias' return and destruction? This fanfiction is based on season 3 of Black Lightning, so I suggest you watch that before reading the spoilers in this story. Content is based on the Black Lightning Comic Book & TV show.
