Legend has it that if a human being under the age of twenty one, drinks from a paw print of a wolf, they themselves become a werewolf, a child of the moon. It says it must be a cloudless night letting the full moon shine its best for all to see. It says one sip and you feel drunk off of God knows what. But the legend also says it takes two weeks or so of vomiting up your own blood and eating raw meat before you painfully shift into a wolf.

Set in Victorian Era in London, England, this follows the story of Father William AKA Priest, who encounters a Vampire named Sapphira Delauny, who is a Pure Blood Vampire of a powerful family. At first Priest is unaware of Sapphira's true nature. Later, it's discovered and Priest is turned by another Vampire who Sapphira accidently made her enemy.

This is the third story of the Blackbloods series. If you haven't read the first two never fear as this book can be read independently but it does take place after the first two books. Serena, aka Mia, is trapped, running from the law, from the ones that were once family. She fights for what's right, for the ones less fortunate, her past is an ever present reminder of what she wants to forget Hiding in the shadows, surviving but not living until the fateful night she chooses the wrong people to steal from, the Bultrov family. Alex is a vampire, lured by the hunt, blue eyes and blonde hair make him the ultimate weapon. His brother Byron, renounced king of the vampire race is forced to make a choice he fought so hard against. The nights grow longer, the numbers stacked against them, will Mia lead them to their ultimate destruction or is Serena the one who can turn the tables and win the war destined to destroy the world they all know.

One day, the meteor is boarded by a foreign and uncanny troll. At the same time, a ghostly Tavros alternate encounters another troll, of similar power. Shipping breakdown!
