Sang Sorensen boarded the plane set to return to South Carolina at Approximately 9:45 pm on April 5th 2018 after her long two week mission in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was allowed little to no contact with her team back at home. The Blackbourne team consisted of ten members including Sang. This team was out of the ordinary for the Academy. They were the largest polyamory team. Nine men in love with one women. Sang was the glue that kept them all together. But flight 180 never made it to South Carolina. The 190 passengers and crew were never found and neither was the aircraft. Now it's five years later and flight 180 to South Carolina has landed like nothing happened. The passengers descend to the ground confused at how many emergency vehicles there are. Police cars, ambulances and fire trucks surround the plane. It is now April 5 2022.

Sang went into the woods every day to get away from her family, and every day she meets a dog who seems to know she needs comfort and gives her that. I'm not very good at summaries. But this is a spin-off of the great C.L Stone's Academy Ghostbird series! Now Sang, Marie, and their mom won't be in this but three other characters will be taking their spots. Trying to keep it so the story line isn't exactly the same, but enough to where you will know where its at. I hope you read it, like it, vote and comment! Also share it if you really like it! Sang only knows life inside the white walls. She only knows two names, her true name, 005, and the name she is given by the men that run the experiments on her. Songbird. Because of how much she sings, she is known by Sang. After something happens, one of their experiments gone bad at age five, she develops powers. Powers she can't control, powers she doesn't want. Powers to move things, to set things on fire, to see things that shouldn't be there. But she finally escapes after setting the entire facility on fire. She lives on the streets for two years, before one afternoon, she begins running from one of the creatures she sees. She runs into the team on a mission to follow someone, when the creature attacks. Left with a choice, she chooses to sacrifice her safety and save one of the members of the team. And you know once you enter a certain teams life, they just won't let you go. - Took a bit of inspiration from Stranger Things, so I don't own anything from Stranger Things not the Academy.

In this Ghostbird Fanfic Sang never makes it to Charleston, SC. Sang saves herself before ever meeting her boys. She isn't abandoned by family, she won't put up with abuse, and doesn't feel it's her duty to take care of a monster. Every victim of abuse reacts differently. I personally was defiant and refused to believe what I was told or that I deserved it. I wanted Sang to have my spirit. I wanted Sang to have even more than my spirit actually as I didn't save myself but Sang will save herself. So if Sang was never the timid bird we know her as who will she become? If she ends up knowing a normal life and allowed to mature and know healthy relationships before meeting the boys how will that go? I'll alter the boys as well. When I look back now on CL's books they come across as guys who don't like confident women and have hero complexes. I can't remember exactly what they say about the Academy girls and why they won't date them but basically it's because the girls are confident and sure of themselves and apparently that's not good? So no these guys won't be like that. The core of who they are will be the same though. I feel like the Toma team does appreciate confident women already so they won't need to be altered at all. I digress lets see how the story flows with our Sang being her own hero and the havoc she'll unleash on our boys. Finally, these characters are not my own but the plot is my own. So no stealing my plot and give all credit of characters to CL Stone. I will reference to some scenes from her books as well as the boys will still do the Ashley Waters mission and deal with Volto. The actual scenes from her books won't be in my own though just referenced in flashbacks and such.
