Jamie Jamerson is a typical middle school girl who plays trumpet in the band, soccer after school, and has the greatest best friend ever! Melanie Jamerson is a single mother who teaches English at the school where her daughter is a student. When Jamie starts showing signs of adolescent depression, both mother and daughter are thrown into the unknown. Can their relationship survive a school bully, a racist teacher, puberty, and spilled family secrets? Told from the perspective of both characters, Hereditary Sadness will surely make you laugh, scream, and cry, and then make you want to read it all over again.

Rules which will help her find the path which leads to the Grand Destination. Ever since she was a child, she has been preparing to walk that track. Aunt Jo has been her aunt, mother, caretaker, friend, teacher and everything else she could ever ask for. She has always been there for Emma. But she has to travel this journey alone. Will she be able to remember all the principles? Will she survive till the very end? Or will loneliness take over once again and all those years of training go to vain? Little does she know that she has a companion, one that has waited just as anxiously for her to walk that path. Will this unexpected company be joyful? Or does he have other plans?

One day, Apocalypse came to pass. It started with a fog that engulfed the world. Thick and heavy in the atmosphere, nearly unbreathable to humans and able to corrupt a soul. It killed livestock, pulled buildings to the ground and deadened the soil. After a month, shields were erected over major cities to keep it out, but by then humanity could no longer see the sun. Next, they disappeared - the citizens in shieldless towns and the towns themselves - completely consumed by the fog. And in their place came monsters, beasts that craved human flesh and blood and knew nothing but destruction.
