Dakota is a 14 year old girl who has lived her life in the lowest parts of society. She was orphaned at the age of 4 and has no known relatives to take her in, so she took to the streets instead, surviving on her own with nothing but her brain to keep her alive.

This story follows Claire, and another 'unknown boy.' Two people with a past you'd want to only know more about. As the story progresses, you only find out more about the two lost lovers. And when Justin, one of Claire's so called 'lovers' go missing, things will unfold in the eerie town named Black Crystal. Loyalty will be questioned, lies will become true, and multiple hearts will break. But the question is Why? Why is Caroline so... quiet? Why is Claire shutting everyone out? And most importantly.. Why did someone come up with the idea Justin didn't need to be apart of Black Crystal anymore?

After the disappearance of Justin, things have happened- including finding his body at the edge of the river. Justin's family decided to take matters into their own hands, sinking an empty coffin into the river where he was found dead. Violet Rill was the river, to be exact. More of the truth will be exposed in this story- a lot more. That someone that Claire was really supposed to meet at the movies will shy through, but will not be there. Anna keeps digging for anything that would link to Justin's tragic murder, along side her best friend. Sophia. And with Alexander in custody of the state without Anna knowing- things are bound to happen that shouldn't.
