The Black Dragon fought bravely. The Black Dragon fought fiercely. The Black Dragon fought honorably. And then the Black Dragon died, and the grass upon the Redgrass Field drank deep of his blood, and of all those who perished beside him, until it was stained a deep scarlet red. In a world where strength, power, and cunning often prevailed over honor and justice, Daena Blackfyre swore one thing to herself - that she would avenge the death of her lord father, whatever the cost. She meant to show no mercy to the man who had shown none to him, nor to her elder twin brothers, whom she had lost upon that fateful day. She was willing to sacrifice everything, even her very conscience, to restore the good name of her House and one day seat its rightful heir upon the Iron Throne. Despite the long years spent in exile in Tyrosh, years which had left deep scars upon her soul, Daena remained bold, spirited, and full of mirth. Yet behind her smile there often lingered bitterness and grief, burdens she could never truly cast aside. She was stubborn, fierce, and steadfast in her vows unto the very end - especially those that concerned vengeance. "Hawks are swifter and far more deadly than ravens," she would often say to those closest to her. "Especially the white ones that bear a bow." Yet all begins to grow complicated when, upon the Ashford Meadows, she encounters a wandering hedge knight and his young squire. For loyalty to one's family is one thing. But when boldness meets honor and justice, nothing remains so certain as it once did. Ser Duncan The Tall x Female OC Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms | Fanfiction START: SUMMER/AUTUMN

Viserys dies a month after he announces his decision to marry Alicent and a mere three weeks before they would have been married. However, before Rhaenyra can take the throne, Otto announces that Alicent is pregnant with the new King and so Rhaenyra, as a mere princess, cannot sit the Iron Throne. In this story, the Faith follows a very Biblical style view on engagement and marriage but IS NOT 100% following the Biblical concept. It's BASED UPON A SIMILAR PREMISE. Basically, once a couple becomes engaged, they are "married" just without the official wedding and would need to get an annulment or divorce in order to separate. This is the premise Otto is going to use to declare his grandchild as being a legitimate heir. Things are going to seem a bit murky, possibly, at first, but I WILL be fully explaining things further in the story. I just hope you will choose to follow the story long enough for the details to fully be explained, and different precedences to be brought to light in this AU version of Westeros. Alicent and Rhaenyra are 16, Laena is 15, Laenor is 14. Alicent is only a couple months older than Rhaenyra and both are "of age".
