She died a few seconds before her sisters were forced into sleep and forcefully brought to the Red Room. She died in front of their very eyes. Natasha saw it. It was the last thing she witnessed before the drugs pulled her under, and it engrained so deep in her eyelids sometimes she still sees it as clearly as when she was eleven. Alexandra Tarasova is dead. So why is she standing in the middle of the Red Room's wreckage?

Blackhill Angst Fanfic/Story This story takes place near the end of endgame and through-out before & after secret invasion (so a lot of this is not cannon, as usual. This is purely just based on what came through my head, so this is NOT INSPIRED by ANYONE). This story will have chapters of Maria's grief after Natasha death and her being alone, I don't know when it will be updated, but I'll do my best! (Also, there will be 3 chapters based on the title of this story.) The 3 chapters take place in: Chapter 1: After Tony Stark's funeral in Avengers: Endgame. Set directly between the end of Black Widow and the beginning of Infinity War - I've done my best to keep this within the real timeline. Slow burn Blackhill but worth the wait. Natasha returns to what's left of Shield after making a deal with Ross, much to Maria's relief, happy to have her old friend back. While out on a mission, they come across something that neither of them ever expected to find, a scared gifted child. Not allowing her to remain trapped in a lab, Natasha rescues the young girl and they start their own adventure with Natasha taking on more responsibility than she ever thought she would. It's a trick, it's a ruse, it could make everything worse and undo all the progress she has made. But Natalia is stuck halfway between the hell of the Red room and the solace of a mundane life. As a last desperate push, they send her undercover as her own self in suburbia, a house, a cat, time to read or make friends - under the guise of a mission of course. OR Fury and Hill trick Natasha into realizing that a life outside the mission isn't so bad after all.
