Adam D. Kepler is a widowed astronaut who has been raising his son alone since the death of his wife. One day, he receives a mission that could determine the fate of humanity: to help the Dasa team (a fictional organization with no connection to NASA) stop a supermassive black hole from destroying Earth. Along the way, Adam must face loneliness, the grief of losing his wife, and his strained relationship with his son.

Ex-astrophysicist Blufort has resigned himself to life on a space station in a solar system far from Earth. But when he accidentally awakens the space station's black hole power source, and it talks to him, he ends up getting more than he bargained for.

Tree is a Forest Guardian or Dryad tied to an ancient, world-bearing mega-flora. Black Hole is a God of the Void cursed to consume everything he touches, but when these two meet. Their whole world changes.

In the distant future, Earth has died before it's time, and the human race is scattered. The only being who knows the cause is pure evil and believes that it has postponed it's death. Five teenage survivors are brought together under mysterious circumstances and travel to the other side of a blackhole where they find that the light is evil and the shadows are their friends.
