Vanessa Pierce, 21-year-old, adopted by the Gilbert Family, is Isobel's oldest. She chose to go by Pierce when she found out she was related to Katherine. Taking care of Elena and Jeremy was always Vanessa's number 1 priority. Her life seemed normal until she met the Salvatore brothers. She fell in love with Damon, the oldest Salvatore brother while Elena had a love interest set on Stefan. Vanessa felt happy with Damon... until of course, Elena had to sweep him from her feet. Leaving her heartbroken. She felt her relationship with Elena start to float away. Stefan became her best friend. He helped her through the messy breakup. Considering he had gone through it to with losing Elena. Vanessa and Damon had a love-hate relationship. She thought she would never find love again. But maybe just maybe, the new boy in the prison world. Could change her mind.
