Blanket cerita

This is just a one shot poem my 12 year old sister wrote. I asked her if she wanted me to post it on here, and she let me. She got the idea from Five Nights at Freddy's and from when she was afraid of the dark when she was little.

Marilyn doesn't know why, or how it's possible, but she transports at any time to any place. This curse has saved her life but couldn't save her parents. She can't trust anyone but Angel, a new member of the orphanage. Having this curse doesn't make life easy, but with Angel's help, does Marilyn have a chance of surviving? "I decided I would go upstairs to think about everything that had happened the past 5 years. So much had happened since my parents died. Then again, anything could happen when you transport."

I was a normal, teenage girl just yesterday. Well, I’m still a teenage girl, but the ‘normal’ part has been ripped away by all that has happened. You don’t think that you’re suddenly going to be forced to give up your entire life to steal back the Summer Queen’s crown while you’re drinking a cup of coffee in the morning. And you certainly don’t think about visiting a place that doesn’t even exist and becoming a hero. Those things just happen. Unannounced. No warnings whatsoever. And they only happen once every Millennium. So is it a good thing or a bad thing if you are one of the sought after Heroes? I still can’t decide.

"The night sky resembled a blanket of navy blur and the moon, who sat alone far from us, glowed with silver light, the trees danced in the light with joy and the breeze sang a song of ultimate bliss, I had walked into this scene, not alone, but with Her. I do not know what happened but her being with me in such a beautiful night had caused me to believe that we were attached some reason by fate."

March 18 Malaria Flailing, reaching, screaming; hiding, avoiding, misdirecting, theses are subsets in a list of extremes whose commonality is lacking, lacking humility. I fall to pieces just thinking of standing exposed, imperfect and unprotected. I’m not sure what I think will happen to me in this posture; instantaneous death? Couldn’t be, I’m not that lucky, nor am I foolish enough to think that I am that lucky. Possibly, I fear rancorous humiliation, but really who is powerful enough to do that to me? I know and like myself well enough to deflect obvious flying nonsense, so what is it that I do flee? I think it is the endless grinding inelegance of life, the stinging nettled nature of things, my inability to weave my way around my weakness and slip into the open unpoisoned. I fear exchanging peace for failure. Humility is when I know I cannot fail.
