On a cool summer night their worlds are turned upside down. While Lucy was out of the house her family was taken by a government group called 'Division'. In hopes to find her family Lucy must stay with the Tallis family. Although while tracking Division Reed and Lucy are forced to stay behind as Reed's parents search for Lucy's. In the midst of all the chaos Tate and Lucy become friends again after a lifetime of separation. Joined by Romeo and Bruiser the group must find a way to stay hidden and find their missing families. The year is 2034. Gwen, Hannah, Dani, and Vanity are vampires. They want nothing more than to buy a Bleeder. The vampires have gotten rid of technology, believing that it makes humans slow. When there's an auction for humans, it's usually a low price, because every vampire wants a Bleeder. A Bleeder is a human who feels pleasure when they're being fed on. So when Gwen and her clan get an invitation to an auction, they assume that it's just going to be a normal one. Oh, how wrong they are.

After a recurring dream's morbid ending is interrupted by an anonymous stranger, the dreamer finds out that his dream was part of something much larger and much worse.
