I was in my room when I heard the front door open. Curiously I peeked out of my room and saw my uncle walking in with a girl following him. She walked around the foyer, looking at pictures hanging on the wall. She stopped at one specific drawing. "Salem drew me that when she was six." He said coming up beside her. "It's cute, They're holding hands" She said, "What are they?" "Well that one is Batman and the other one is Wonder Woman." He answered. She giggled, turning and giving him a kiss. "Can I be your Wonder Woman?" She asked flirtatiously. I stepped into the hallway, maybe he would see me and explain to her what that meant. He didn't see me. Instead he smiled and right before he was about to answer, I said it first. "No." I almost shouted. They both turned to face me. My Uncle laughed a little nervously. "Salem," He said, "This is Lights." ... Salem Bokan, becomes orphaned at the age of 10 after a terrifying car crash that kills both of her parents, Andrew and Katrina Bokan. Her world spirals and she becomes victim of memory loss and fainting spells along with various other head trauma conditions. The only thing that remains fully intact after the accident is the extremely strong relationship she shares with her Uncle, Beau Bokan, lead singer of the band Blessthefall. Beau becomes Salem's legal guardian and she starts recovering, physically and emotionally, from the tragedy. But she is thrown off by her uncle's new girlfriend, who she feels is replacing her on her Uncle's list of priorities. Will Salem allow someone to come between their Incredible bond? and will Beau allow Salem to slip away?
