The year is 2019. The Helium and Analog Wars have come and passed, leaving the remains of America at the mercy of Better Living Industries. Lucas and his sister grew up in Battery City, a place completely under the influence of BLI. Fortunately for them, their family was smart enough to realize that the company is evil, and were never brainwashed by their happy pills. However, their parents are still controlling, and all Lucas desires is to run away. So when the two are put in danger and are forced to leave, they do it as if they've done it a thousand times. But of course, nothing is as it seems. And Lucas would have never expected to fall for Party Poison, BLI's Most Wanted. 🌩 (i do not own any characters in this book except Silent Storm, Sunset Flash, Atomic Alien, and Violent Vendetta. all credit for this concept goes to My Chemical Romance.)

In a (originally, post-apocalyptic future, now Alternate Universe) where a 3rd World War came to be and humanity almost disappeared, Better Living Industries came to do what it's name implies: make living better; unfortunately, "better" is a subjective concept and in a Bulletproof Future where the Aftermath is Secondary, only a peculiar group of outcast rebels could make just enough noise to rescue the remaining civilization from the eternally-smiling corporation. Does the end justify the means? *Based on the comics, music videos and story of The Fabulous Killjoys, written by Gerard Way and Shaun Simon, and interpreted by My Chemical Romance.

Everyone in Battery City was so happy. Why would the Killjoys try to break that?

It's either victory or death. The BL/ind are the enemies and will do anything in their power to wipe us out and take over the Zones. They've already taken over Battery City...since 2019... But in seventeen years they spread to Zones 1 and halfway through 2. They only reason they haven't spread more was because of us. The Killjoys. We believe that art is the weapon, not world domination. Not monochromatic emotions and people. Freedom, individuality, and peace is what we stand and fight for. We fight for what is ours. The rights to our lives. For the people around us. For evolution. For love.

They were different from the other kids. While everyone else at their school was content with taking their pills and following orders, they were content with defying authority and questioning the corporation that ran their world. They never did anything too severe, nothing to attract the attention of any of the Better Living higher-ups. No, they knew if they were too extreme then they'd end up in a re-education facility. That is, until they get fed up with being quiet. They're about to snap and do something really stupid, but it's fine. They'll be long gone by the time anyone important shows up. It's their last day of high school, their last day in the city, and they're ready to make some noise and leave with a bang.
