It starts with two people, a boy named Carter García Lopez a Hispanic trans man visiting his family for the holidays in America, and a girl Victoria Clark who used to be Carter's best friend back in high when he was still a girl or pre-transition. They haven't spoken since high school and after four years they bump into each other while Carter is shopping for presents with his younger sister. Victoria doesn't recognize him but Carter does sense she was his crush back in high school. He fears if he tells her who he is, she might not like him so he lies to her saying they never met. He tries to go out with her but does not have any contact with her, he tries to find her anyway.

Tami comes home after a long night to find that her brother had invited nearly the whole school to their house for a party. Her parents are minutes away and so is her next mental break down.

Clarice James is seventeen years old. She's beautiful. She isn't popular or unpopular, with excellent grades and rich parents that loved her. She tried her best to be kind to people even if they didn't do the same. Everything from taking care of her younger brother with epilepsy, to hanging out with her best friends and working at a dinner to help pay for college she was just trying to get through it all. Tyler Underwood is eighteen years old. He is the definition of dangerous. The kid your parents said not to become. Although I'll tell you the story of my romance in just a moment, See, love has been all around us, but it's difficult to notice sometimes, especially when it's not the kind of love you desire. We so often fail to recognize the love that's right in front of us. We have trouble paying attention during dinner with our dates or people that care about us because we're too busy checking our phone to see news or groups gossip. that is trying to have a conversation with you by giving you cold, short answers. You're not there. We take little moments of love like that for granted. "A meaningful life is built on many different forms of love," writes Natasha Lunn in her book "Conversations on Love." The conversations in her book made me reflect back on the series of love stories I've had in this 20-something-year-long life of mine, and you'll find several pieces from that book woven into this little film. I think back on my first love, which I'd describe as beautiful naivety. It was intense, filled with ups and downs, and one that may have shaped me in more ways than I know. I recall the heavy feeling of leaving a person's home for the last time, founding a secret place, getting lost in paradise heaven, and not knowing what to do with the space that the presence of this person had left behind.
