Many of both kinds were killed in the war, the Guardians hired to hunt our kind made sure of it and of course they 'succeeded'. My grandparents and my mom were the only ones that made it out. My dad was human, so much so that he cried over a paper cut. Don't let that fool you though, my dad was as strong willed as they come, and that's how I'm part human, part vampire.
