After Julie Kagawa's The Forever Song, Jackal leaves Allison and Eden behind on the start of a new adventure. With the cure of Rabidism, the world now has a second chance at rebuilding itself and starting new. Of course, this means that vampires and humans will have to find a way to coexist, but that would come much, much later. With a plan to travel the world, Jackal comes across a girl, Abigail, and decides to allow her to accompany him. At first, he blames this newfound care towards a human on his blood sister having "rubbed off" on him. But as time passes, Jackal comes to the understanding that he, in fact, does care for this human. Perhaps it's just not the world that has a second chance. But Jackal, as well.

This takes place after The Forever Song. Allison and Zeke are traveling around North America with the cure. It has been years since they had been back to New Covington but that is there next stop.

Set roughly 30 years after the events of The Forever Song, by Julie Kagawa, this fanfic story continues the journey of Allie and Zeke as they face a new and even deadlier foe. Its been 30 years since Allie and Zeke defeated the vampire Sarren. Now they are on their way back to Eden, having run out of the medicine that they need to spread the cure. Soon after they meet someone they thought was dead, someone with a new vengence to settle. Meanwhile, Caleb has finally started a family and set down roots in Eden. He was only 6 when Zeke left, but he never forget him. And he never really expected him to just stay the same.... Can Allie, Caleb, and Zeke come together to defeat their newest foe, or will they be doomed a new ending?
