Mostly the backstory of my OC Tanne! Although i am planning to add some bits of the TSS movie, so be aware of spoilers in the next chapters if you haven't seen it. Tanne is a criminal, but a one with superpowers, so i guess you could call them a supervillian? Although they would insist it's not necessary, it's much more flattering than what other inmates in the prison house have called them. For example : A sidekick, Polka Dot Mans sidekick to be specific. But to be fair the two DO have history,so technically they're not that wrong after all.

Nowadays, things are better .... but while the spectre of apartheid may no longer haunt South Africa (officially, at least) the analogy between blood-sports and racial (and other) prejudices do still exist. It may not be exactly 'timeless,' but hopefully it conveys a sense of outrage combined with helplessness.
