The Planet of Xhul was dying. Few of its citizens have gone into hiding, hoping that the day will come when their dying planet would be free and able to flourish once again. Rei-Rei Cohen and her younger brother Thaal (the last of her siblings) are among the serving Xhulian people, but Thaal suddenly falls ill. Rei-Rei does all she can with the resources that are left on Xhul and worries that her efforts won't be enough, but suddenly, as if the prayers of the Xhulian people had been answered, someone had came to liberate the planet of Xhul. Rei-Rei leaves her brother's side, just for a second, to see what was going on, and flying through the skies like a ray of hope she sees the Paladins, but they weren't the Paladins she thought they were. They weren't Voltron, but they were the next best thing, The Guardians. The Guardians fought alongside Voltron, they helped take down its enemies and brought peace and hope to the galaxy. It's one of these Paladins who give Rei-Rei a second chance, a chance to make a different, a chance to fight back, a chance to be a Guardian of Voltron, and a chance to be Xhul's light.
