At a young age Izuku midoriya learned the hard truth. The truth that not all men are created equal. In fact, none are. At some point in life everyone takes some sort of turn, and becomes somebody. A new person. Izuku saw this happen to his friend, who went from nice and a fun-to-be-around person to somebody everyone avoids, obeys, and fears. Silently, Izuku would watch as people underwent these changes overtime. He watched as a few positive changes happened, though they were easily outnumbered by negative ones. But there was one thing that didn't change: people didn't care. they never did. not when a girl cried out in the night, pleading for them to stop. not when a young teenager took a last chance dive. not when a victim cried out in pain, as their predator loomed over them, like a barricade from all hope. Izuku would never be a hero. not while people didn't care. not while he was the bottom of the barrel. not while he followed the laws like he was supposed to. not when he picked up habits a 14 year old boy shouldn't have.
