[Din Djarin, in possession of the Darksaber, goes into hiding post-Chapter 16 after his safety is compromised. In doing so, he returns to familiar place.]

The Siege of Mandalore rages on the surface. A young foundling fears for the man who rescued him. He's not ready for anyone to replace his parents, but his courage will be needed. Who was the man that rescued Din Djarin? Note: A glossary of mando'a words and phrases is found in part 2. But you'll be able to pick up most things from context. Another note: This work is a fanfiction, and a result of my admiration for Star Wars, its characters and worlds that I've highlighted, and the work of their creators. The words of the title are not original, but come from a phrase used in The Mandalorian series. The character Atli is an original, and Darad is an imagined development of a so-far unnamed character that appeared briefly in The Mandalorian Season 1. Most of my use of the mando'a language was inspired by its use in Karen Traviss's Republic Commando series. The main image on the cover is not mine, but it's modified. It comes from The Mandalorian. This work is not for profit, just for enjoyment, speculation, and exploration.

Obi-Wan knew the force wasn't restricted now, it was freely flowing through him. He remembered what Master Qui-Gon had told him once, do not live in the past, focus of what is happening here and now, and in this moment it made more sense than ever. He could feel a spark ignite inside of him and the force strengthen around him, he embraced it. Lawless AU in which Obi-Wan saves Satine, but things aren't as simple as they seem. Mandalore is in chaos, Satine is struggling to cope with everything she's lost, and Obi-Wan can't seem to find a way to help. There will be attempted suicide, just a heads up, but it will be later in the story.

Y,N lived a peaceful life with his fellow Mandalorians before what would be dubbed the Great Purge by the few survivors spread thin throughout the galaxy. However Y,N witnessed the slaughter of his people, hearing their screams as they were killed in battle by blobs of white and a single blob of black who was wielding some kind of crimson blade. Yet through his teary eyes and smoke filled lungs, he was pulled onto a ship and a single friendly and feminine voice told him to "run" and started up the auto-pilot on the ship, through teary-eyes and baited breath he saw his planet get ravaged and destroyed and his people killed by the vile Empire, and brought down by blaster bolts or that damned crimson blade...he wanted to help, he wanted to fight...but he couldn't as he knew he was one of the last of his people, and the last of his clan..it would be a fool's errand to leap out of the ship and die meaninglessly...yet this one moment burned itself inside Y,N's mind and hardened him up and taught him the cruel lessons of reality, to survive in this galaxy you need to be in control of your destiny and show no emotions. For decades Y,N traveled the galaxy teaching himself in the ways of fighting and survival, learning everything the galaxy had to offer him in order for him....a Mandalorian to survive. Nowadays he's a bounty hunter for hire, yet his services don't come cheap due to him being 2nd to none in the entire galaxy when it comes to assassination's. However his latest mission will be much, much more than even he bargained form and will take him on a journey that'll show him that maybe just maybe there's more to emotions than just faking them or burying them down...after all this is the way.
