Trevor has one problem: he used to be in love with Adam Cole. Not the puppy dog, batting eyelashes type of love, though. It was the heart beats faster, rendered momentarily speechless at the sight of him kind. But it's been years; he's over it now, of course. However, when Trevor arrived in an NXT ring, the first person he locked eyes with was Adam. Even if everything he felt for him in the past didn't come flooding back, Trevor wasn't overlooking the significance of that. Although he should probably keep his distance, he doesn't. Couldn't if he wanted to, because their paths keep intertwining, the on-screen chemistry they share threatening to push the boundaries of the bond they've built off camera. Almost like fate, old feelings and memories suddenly start to dredge back up without prompting, all due to the words "free food". And just as Trevor starts to break down the reasons why falling in love is more painful to him than falling out of it, he runs into the mother of all obstacles.
