Dear Mother, My world is a cruel place. I've craved the sweet kiss of death for years now, but am only greeted by the fragments of disbelief. Is this really my life now? Will this pain and hunger ever leave my body? You told me that this will help, that he could cure me! But no, he used us, particularly me. He said I was the one to bring an end to the infection plaguing the country, but I was just the vessel he used to corrupt it further. I became the face of this evil. But no more. I left home in search of him. I will put an end to this plague and defeat the monster that did this to me. I might not return home and will possibly die in the process but know, I have never blamed you for this. You were just a worried mother afraid that her only child will die to this plague and did what you believed was right. I will return home and Tridale will finally be free of this gruesome curse. -Love Penelope
