Yn is the sister of Bob Sheldon but she fits in with the greasers more and is friends with most of them she doesn't hang out with the socs, she hangs out with soda's gang before soda dropped out she became friends with him and met his gang and became friends with them she doesn't care how being friends with socs effects her reputation. Yn and Soda are secretly dating but Steve knows because they need someone to talk to about it. Yn is 16 in this therefore the same age as soda
