'X-Day'. She was found dead after the snow was cleared. The girl was Hinazuki Kayo. Fujinuma Satoru was taken back 18 years to stop a series of serial killings in his town. Kayo was a victim of abuse, making her an easy target. This silent girl had to be saved, it didn't matter how it would end for Satoru. As long as she grows up to live a happy life, he'd be content. This story follows the life of Kayo Hinazuki, Satoru Fujinuma and Gaku Yashiro.

I'm not ready, not now. Why can't we just talk to each other on our own accord? Nearly every first day is like this, so why am I surprised? Almost immediately, the blond boy next to me turns his head to look in my direction. Thus the activity begins.
