After a long day in the Octarian Army, Selo rested in the barracks when suddenly, a pool of black ink appeared beneath her feet and sucked her in. After being discovered on the side of the road by Ochaco Uruaka and Izuku Midoriya, she was given the name Tako (Octopus in Japanese).
