As bright green spring grew into lush summer blossoms, and the sun sat plump and hot in clear blue skies, the most noticeable impending change was the end of the school year. It was bothering Katsuki Bakugo, he didn't know why but it sat heavy in his mind, especially wondering if he'd see his best friend Eijiro Kirishima over the months of break, and wondering why he even cared... At that moment when he was pushed out of harms way by someone who always knew that he would be able to become a hero, he realized Bakugo was right. He was horribly right. He'd gotten an upgrade for his quirk, but he had never trained to fight, had never trained to dodge; he hadn't been trained in order to take down villains, hadn't been prepared for it despite being the only one who knew they were going to be attacked. To the students of the hero course, it was a natural characteristic and talent which they came to the hero academy to boost. And that's exactly why Midoriya would never fit in; he wasn't born to become a hero, and he wasn't aiming to be one in the first place. *** Izuku Midoriya, due to unfortunate circumstances, is obligated to move in with his father. However, little did he know he would be pulled into quite the dirty business, and as a result, he would have to make more difficult choices than he ever thought he would've. Family or friends? Eijiro Kirishima got off on the wrong foot with Katsuki Bakugo on that fateful first day at UA high. Though, their brief rivalry soon grew to be an inseparable companionship by the end of year 1. The summer after 10th grade* though it seemed impossible, they only grew closer. But as their second year began, each had started to notice changes in their friend. How easy it was to laugh together, how spunky and stupid they could be, how much they'd matured, and how much they would do for eachother. And slowly, they each realize, that maybe friendship is the wrong thing. Maybe they're more? No. this is too much of a good thing they're to perfect together and neither want to shatter it.
