Slowly.
Slender hands shift on the steel strings of the violin. Melancholy notes vibrating off the wooden instrument. The notes fizzy out, as Akaashi lifts the bow from the strings, his eyes open and stares at nothing. He feels nothing, and he knew there was nothing left for him.
Akaashi Keiji. Concert master of the Fukurodani Orchestra. Exceptionally hard worker, both musically and intelligently. Perfect is what most would describe him. Yet, perfect is far from what he believes.
Bokuto Koutarou. There are many words to describe him a wild child, popular, extrovert. But he believes there's more to him than what others see.
When Bokuto's grandfather dies, he is gifted his violin. In which his grandfather wanted him to have in order to play in competitions. Wanting to keep the connection with his grandfather alive, he impulsively signs up for the Tokyo Region Violin competition. In the need to build up his technique within six months, he is led to Akaashi Keiji. The best violinist at his school. The only problem is that Akaashi gave up his desire for music months before hand, swearing to never touch the instrument again.
