The gritty tale of a team of Royal Marine Commandoes on a special mission in Iraq. A Persian order is recruiting and training children as suicide bombers to thwart the political process. The story begins following a team of Royal Marines training in the UK, knowing that something is in the air we watch them as they train and mentally prepare for the unexpected, the last training mission at sea with a nuclear submarine, the last party, and the last girl. The call comes and they are given orders to deploy straight into the war zone. In a botched mission in Iran has let a terrorist training cell escape, they are lost into the mountains along with their young recruits. We follow the almost comical problems that Mike has to face to go to war, and the planning process he goes through to give his men the best shot at surviving. The team begins its mission in true Commando fashion by high speed boat at night up the Tigris River, and then jumping from a helicopter into a black lake at night in an unknown and hostile environment, with all the boats and equipment. After lying in wait on a small reed island the team intercept the terrorists but a fire fight ensues, they are surprised to find the children and the lead character is shot by the lead terrorist and falls over board whilst trying to protect them. He watches as he is left behind by his friends, the enemy know he’s there and been left for dead. He now spends 2 days in a cat and mouse chase behind the lines, going through a variety of emotions and struggling to stay focused on surviving. His friends not knowing if Mike is still alive, fight against red tape, helicopter and troop shortages to get back to search for him, dead or alive. The lead character exhausted and out of options is finally cornered by his adversary, now outgunned and surrounded Mike has to fight for his life with what is around him, a fight to the death ensues. Will they all return safely and celebrate together with a ‘Breakfast at Babs’?

"It's you, and it always will be." Your dog jumping into the new neighbours house is one thing, but that 'new neighbour' being you're ex is another. In which unexpected plot twist can turn turning the once-familiar neighbourhood into a delicate dance. Casual exchanges evolved into longer conversations, weaving a new narrative amid the challenges of renewed proximity, offering unexpected opportunities for healing and growth. At least, that's what the readers can only hope for.

In September 2000 events in Israel had a big effect on my life. For the next few years Israel was targeted by scores of Palestinian suicide bombers who detonated deadly suicide belts packed with not only explosives but also schrapnel. There was no way of knowing when the next one would strike, be it on buses, cafes, restaurants or wherever crowds of people congretated. On June 1st a bomb struck a crowd of youngsters outside a disco in Tel Aviv. One young girl who lay injured told the paramedic "we shall not stop dancing". For some reason I still remembered those brave words years later. It was then that I decided to write a book about a fictional bombing in Tel Aviv. One of the biggest reasons for this was not generated by any political belief but to specifically show that despite everything that was thrown at them Israelis simply carried on living their lives. The book title comes from the brave words of the injured young girl. It will take you through just another regular day of 12 very different people, most of them unaware that it will be their last day.
