This is part of my Forever series. a retelling of the prodigal son story with Joe and Ben. Ever since becoming a husband and father, Joe becomes fed up with working for his Pa on the Ponderosa and wants to venture out on his own and create a new and more exciting life for his family when he comes across a mysterious businessman who offers him a job with exciting opportunities. Joe takes his family to Boston where his brother, Adam is living with his family. But Adam starts to become suspicious of the man's motives and suspects there's more to this man than he's leading Joe to believe. This is an original story I wrote with Joe and Adam. We didn't get many Joe and Adam episodes on the show and I loved exploring their dynamic as the oldest and the youngest brother and as always it's best my Bonanza stories are read in order as they contain characters and events introduced in my Forever story.

As they make their way through the blizzard, they become lost and stumble upon a cabin where they are taken hostage by a group of outlaws led by a man named Jack. Adam is determined to protect Little Joe and keep him safe, even as they are held captive. The story highlights the strength of the bond between the two brothers and the lengths that Adam will go to take care of Little Joe.

In the aftermath of Laura Dalton running off with Will Cartwright and Adam's accident that left him crippled, he is still trying to recover both physically and emotionally. In an attempt to heal and get rid of the itch to leave the Ponderosa for a while, he buys a six-month homestead claim contract. His piece of land is a beautiful little spot about forty miles north of the Ponderosa and he soon discovers his closest neighbor is a pretty young lady named Felicity Quinn. While helping each other through multiple situations, a close friendship grows between them and they aren't sure if they want to continue to be "just neighbors". This is a standalone Bonanza short story. It takes place around the beginning of season six.

Following the trail of hoofprints off the main road, Candy, his future father-in-law, and his four soon to be brothers-in-law rush to find the missing middle daughter of the family. When Joe tells everyone what the sheriff shared with him about a specific gang of outlaws that were said to have come through Virginia City after failing to rob the bank in Carson City, Candy realizes what they're up against. He knows the gang and they just happen to have a grudge against him and they've captured Brie, who would be the easiest way to tear into him. Read this fourth and final book of the Romancing the Ponderosa series to see the Cartwright family grow even more! (This is not a standalone book and in order to understand the story the other three books must be read first.)

When Hoss saves a little girl from getting trampled by two drunks' horses, he never knew what it would bring him or the rest of his family. There's a large amount of mixed emotions stirring up on the Ponderosa as the only thing that will save the little girl is a God granted miracle and as Hoss slowly begins to fall for the pretty widowed mother of two who is fighting for her daughter's life.
