All trust this great man with their lives and liberties but does he have a few fatal flaws? Is he maybe too merry? Has everyone got too carried away and now are to pay for their period of too pure pleasure? Clara Knight looks like she has much going for her as she holidays with her cousin the Marchioness of Ashton in Belgian's festive capital. Major Keegan, a fretful war veteran, and Lord Alvanley, an idiotic but intelligent leader of fashion, both appear to press their suit for her hand. Yet Clara's placid face conceals a painful past. Her heart has been broken many times. First by her philandering cousin Nicholas, then giving up any idea of marriage with the man to whom she has the deepest connection. Woahh, new Napoleon story?!?!? While being at a date, you gave them a call only to find out that they actually want to go on a date with you. Out of sheer embarrassment, you decided to just eat at the restaurant and go home but once you left, you noticed the amount of pain you were in before passing out. After Napoleon crushed the United States with a lightning speed invasion, he dissolves the government, and places his brother Joseph in charge of the newly formed French Parliament of America (a Napoleonic puppet government). James Monroe is kicked out of Quebec as they side with the new French rule, therefore, Monroe places his eyes on Ontario, filled almost entirely with old British and new American citizens, to secession as a new Republic, Napoleon tries to quell the rebellion which sparks international anti-French movement, and controversy.

Now President, Thomas Jefferson, sits happily behind his stolen throne in Washington. Guiding the nation through a period of reconstruction and healing after winning a war against England on the home front, and the death of two Presidents, Jefferson sets his sights westward. The untamed frontier beyond the border is ripe for the development an agricultural empire. There's only one problem, all of the territory was purchased by Spain from Napoleon in 1803. Taking a risky move, Jefferson begins expansion into Spanish territory, all the while building up an army and prepares to fight. When war breaks out, Napoleon is forced to come to America and end the war by all means necessary.

In the midst of a particularly harsh winter, he writes to his wife, but the Russians are closing in and he only has time to write a few sentences, and as 1812 draws to a close, he begins to wonder if it's worth fighting for his Great Emperor, or worth fighting to return safely to his family? Alexander Daveray - talentat, inteligent, fermecator... pacat ca este un arogant fara pereche. La cei 17 ani ai sai poate cu usurinta sa discute despre mari evenimente istorice si urmarile lor chiar cu cei mai buni specialisti, iubind orice lucru legat de istorie. Perioada Victoriana nu a reprezentat pentru el ceva mai mult decat un subiect abordat ocazional, asta pana cand este pedepsit de profesoara de istorie - si singura ce il poate tine in frau - sa citeasca niste asa-zise "Jurnale ale Reginei Victoria". Dar informatiile din acele carti se dovedira intr-adevar folositoare atunci cand Alex se trezi in grajdurile cailor Reginei Victoria, aparent din cauza unui ceas antic gasit in podul bunicii sale.
