Tired of seeing Ash get hurt every time they use the bond phenomenon, Greninja decides to leave his trainer. He returns after a year, but finds that Ash isn't exactly in the most forgiving mood. Now he must do everything he can to try to earn his friendship again.

This is a one-shot of how I think Ash-Greninja should have come back into the Sun and Moon anime. In this one-shot, Ash has won the Kalos League but has not challenged Diantha to the title as he wanted to travel and meet new Pokemon. The Alolan Gang does not know about Ash previous travels and accomplishments though. Like All Pokemon Fanfic writers I DO NOT OWN POKÉMON! This takes place in the SM anime episode 90, Securing the Future.

When the Kalos Region was destroyed by large roots, Zygarde and Greninja failed their mission and died. All people and Pokemon have also perished! In the Vortex of Space Time and Dimension, Arceus, alongside Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina, command all of their Celebi The Time Travel Pokemon to hire Ash Ketchum and Pikachu alongside his Pokemon that won on the World Coronation Series, including Z Rings, Crystal, and the Mega Keystone to go back in time to stop where the roots originated. Disclaimer: I don't own the any Pokemon, Characters, Location etc. This is an Imaginary Story, which is non-canon to the original Pokemon Anime.

After winning the Kalos League and keeping their promise, Ash and Serena continue their journey together. From new regions, to new Pokemon, to new battles and new experiences. Whatever lies ahead, they don't know, but they will face it together. This is a sequel to my Our Promise one-shot (which you can read if you'd like for some extra exposition but it's not required). I kept looking over it and I saw more potential in it, but instead of going back to that story, I decided to keep it a one-shot and make the sequel a multi-chapter story. I don't know how many chapters I'll write, but I'll try to make it long enough to be considered a good read.
