Shane Madej never believed in ghosts, but his best friend and closest confidant Ryan Bergara did. One day Ryan tells Shane he wants to investigate the location of the infamous Saranac Lake treehouse fire (despite its reputation for being incredibly dangerous) for an episode of Buzzfeed Unsolved Supernatural. Shane, being the sarcastic skeptic, agrees to go without giving it much thought. But when the investigation puts them in very real danger, Ryan will have to come to terms with his true feelings and reveal them to his best friend, before it's too late.

When Ryan goes missing on a hunt, Shane finds himself lost without him, struggling with his beliefs he must try and get him back, but is Ryan still alive?

Detective Ryan Bergara has been assigned to help Shane with the case despite being a rookie. Ryan manages to crack the case leaving his coworkers stunned and Shane fascinated by his new partner in crime. As they continue to work together decoding the most bizarre cases, Shane can't help but notice that he sees Ryan more than just his coworker.

Shane learns some disturbing things about his soon to be fiancé Ryan that might send him running!

After one of their Paranormal Investigations goes wrong, Shane begins to experience the unexplainable, and tries to understand who, or more to the point, what, he really is.
