Amy Rhoades has been appointed her book club's newest president-not by choice, though. She isn't much of a leader, but the previous president-and best friend-insists that she takes the position for the better of Amy's personal goal; to be manager of the cozy bookstore she works at. As the panic sets in, she realizes she needs the help of a certain comic book geek she didn't have a great first impression with.
She needs to learn how to be more confident and assertive-that's where Finn Fischer comes in. He's the snarky yet passionate comic shop attendant who's hesitant to join some cheesy book club, but Amy offers to help him win the heart of the club's vice president, Juliet. They need to save themselves from the nerves brought upon them, and be their own heroes for themselves and each other.
As the meetings go by, they start to see themselves outside of their novel covers and really intertwine their stories. There's certainly a great amount of twists to their usual routines ever since they met, like joining a gushing book club and enduring endless superhero references, but it's okay because they'll get what they initially wanted in the end. Right?
