An alternate ending to the 2014 book "The Goldfinch" if Theodore Decker would've reacted in time and went to the big city together with Boris Pavlikovsky. I started writing this around the end of spring to the start of summer 2022, when my "The Goldfinch" obsession was peaking. By then, I'd only watched the movie once or twice and still hadn't gotten and read the book, so the fan fiction was based on my assumptions and headcanons, and most of the stuff written wasn't accurate to the book or even the movie. I won't be continuing this fanfic since I'm trying to focus on my own creativity and making up my own stories. I just thought it'd be fun to share, maybe for myself to look back on in the future. I apologize for the errors in the writing; my first language isn't English.

Richie and Boris, half brothers but look like twins. They share the same dad but have different moms. Boris is a year older than Richie which makes him 15. Boris had to live with his dad when his mom died when he was young. His father was charged with child abuse and Richie was the only part of his family that took him in.
