Legolas helped her but she still kept her heart closed off. Together they went in search of Strider, they all became fast friends. Leaving the safety of Rivendell she went to an old friend's birthday party, where she got swept up in a new quest. She fights to keep her friends alive, and discovers something she never knew about herself as well as something she never thought she would have. This story is written in first person but please don't hold that against it. Its not that bad once the actually story gets going

This is a Legolas x Reader. Slow burn romance that will closely follow the journey as portrayed by the movies. Updates will be slow, and you'll probably see a few spelling/grammar mistakes. Please be sure to point them out, it helps a lot!

...Legolas swiftly moved to the door, his strides large and purposeful. He reached out his hand to hold the door shut just as Y/N reached for the handle. Now, she stood with her back against the door, the elf before her, his arm to the left of her head. He spoke softer this time, "Do you see him in me?" Y/N's heart pounded louder in her ears. She didn't look at him; his looming body and blond hair were all she could see. Her mind betrayed her, twisting Legolas' voice into Thranduil's. His stance before her felt intimidating rather than friendly. Her mind raced back to horrific memories of Thranduil, his towering presence, ice-blue eyes, and long blond hair. She began disassociating, standing quietly, waiting for Legolas to grow bored of her silence and leave. But he didn't. "Look at me," the prince said, though his voice mixed with that of Thranduil's in her mind, causing her throat to tighten. The prince raised his hand to her chin, lifting it so that her eyes would meet his. He studied her face, watching as fear grew in her eyes. After a moment, she pulled away from his touch and pushed off the door, escaping to the other side of the room. Legolas' breath hitched in his throat. His body stiffened, and his jaw clenched as he thought of his father's cruelty. He stood facing the door for a moment, then turned to see Y/N standing on the opposite side of the room. "So you do," he said, his voice barely above a whisper... (None of these characters or the story line belongs to me. This follows the LOTR movies)

All of Gandalf's favors were too much, all of them went too far. It came with the territory, he was after all, a wizard with a penchant for throwing people in over their heads. But still, every once in a while couldn't he just ask for help with moving a chair? Fixing a wagon? Fashion advice? Of course not, that would be boring, instead every call for aid was do or die with high stakes and dire consequences. Sometimes I wondered how I even fell in with the troublesome wizard, but then I remembered that he knew the truth, my truth thought of me as a friend regardless. I would help him, I always did and I always would, no matter the likelihood of death. I swear, that bastard knew it too.
